Remedial instruction can help struggling learners shore up their basic skills. This extra support can help them catch up to their peers. And sometimes, if a student's gaps in learning aren't related to a disability, it can eliminate the need for referral to special education. The system of remedial teaching is practiced to make up the deficiency of slow learners especially from the disadvantaged group. The extra intelligent students of the same class are advised to assist their less privileged class mates. The co-operation of the parents is sought for conducting remedial classes on holidays for weak students. The committee has divided the class hours and selected the faculty members from each department. Maximum priority is given to the students belonging to the SC, ST, OBC and OEC categories. It has received whole hearted support from all departments of this college. Remedial teaching is a blessing in disguise especially for the first year students who have taken late admission.
This has been organized for nurturing the bond between teachers and students. The students are divided into batches and placed under group tutors.The students can consult his/ her tutor for all matters related to academic performances.This system is further reinforced by linking it up with the Parent Teachers Association.
